What do Virtual Terminal Transaction types mean? Print E-mail

CREDIT - SALE  Authorize a Credit Card transaction (adds it to the settlement batch).
CREDIT - PRE AUTHPre Authorize a Credit Card - (not added to the settlement batch).
CREDIT - PA COMPLETECompletes a pre-authorized transaction (adds it to the settlement batch).
CREDIT - FORCEIf you receive a phone authorization, and you need to force the transaction into the batch for settlement
CREDIT - VOIDVoid Transaction (remove from settlement batch)
CREDIT - RETURN Return money to a customer, if the transaction has not been settled, do a VOID instead.

  • A Return Policy Clearly Stated On your website
  • Completed Merchant Account Application
  • Voided Check
  • 3 Months of Bank Statements (for new businesses)

    Setup usually takes 24-48 hours. The greatest variable is timely submission of completed Merchant Application.
